Streetkids International

Help them to help themselves“ is the philosophy of Streetkids International. The association has set itself the target of empowering children to later provide for themselves and to help out other people in their country. In order to achieve success in the long term, Streetkids International e.V. is committed to careful project planning. Local helpers are selected by Streetkids International themselves. Read in  acquise (5/2007) how Daniel Preuß and his Trail for Africa met Streetkids International.

A network of selected foster mothers and helpers from Tanzania guarantees that the Streetkids have access to qualified care at all times. This way, children are given somebody they can look up to and a person in whom they can confide. In addition to this, a representative from the children’s home performs a check at least once every three months to see whether the intended purpose of the association, i.e. to provide disadvantaged children accommodation, subsistence, a school education and care, is being adhered to.

Streetkids International wants to initiate sustainable help for them to help themselves. Medical care and educational programs are to be expanded further. The association also checks out affiliated projects in the area and supports them financially. Streetkids International is looking for heavyweight business partners to support the projects.

Private individuals can help orphans further by sponsoring (child and educational sponsorships). Streetkids International currently has an administration overhead of less than 10 %. The money donated therefore benefits the children directly.
