Vienna, Frankfurt, January 26, 2005 +++ update software AG, a leading vendor of CRM solutions, listed at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, has announced its preliminary results for the financial year 2004, which are record results. According to this, the revenue increased up to EUR 15.3 million and the operating profit (EBIT) up to EUR 2.3 million.
Revenue increase of 12.6 %
In 2004, the company raised its revenue by 12.6 % to more than EUR 15.3 million compared to EUR 13.6 million in the past year. The increase of license revenue of almost 26 % is considerably above the market average. The EBIT increased by more than 2,000 % from EUR 102,000 to EUR 2.3 million this year. The net income of EUR 2.2 million represents a preliminary earning per share of EUR 0.24. The EBIT margin increased up to 15.1 % in 2004 compared to nearly 0.8 % in 2003.
At the date of the balance sheet in 2004, the cash position amounts to EUR 5.7 million, thus representing an increase of more than 39 % in comparison to the date of the balance sheet in 2003. The cash flow even increased by 158 % (from EUR 634,000 up to EUR 1.6 million).
For the first time in 10 quarters, quarter revenue above EUR 4 million
In the fourth quarter, update software AG managed to increase the revenue up to EUR 4.1 million. Due to investments in the expansion into Eastern Europe, the EBIT on a quarterly basis was reduced to EUR 378,000.
