bauMax advances to the top with update’s CRM Suite

Vienna, November 14th, 2006 +++ For the second year in a row, a customer of one of Europe’s leading providers of CRM solutions, update software AG headquartered in Vienna, has won the Best Practice Award. bauMax, the Austrian home improvement chain, was awarded best company in the category Business-to-Consumer at this year’s CRM expo. A decisive factor for the 9-person jury was the CRM project’s overall success and employee-orientation.

bauMax has employed update software AG’s CRM solutions since 2005. The introduction to the system, project assistance and a special training course were all carried out by the long-standing partner and full service provider Sensix-Netragon.

This CRM system has enabled bauMax to further expand its already extensive customer database and optimise the efficiency of targeted marking. The greatest gains were made in the customer retention of so-called "heavy users" (renovators and new builders). Dr. Michael Scheuch, Project Manager at bauMax, referring to the CRM system: “Since the introduction of update CRM, our knowledge of the end-consumer’s needs has multiplied considerably. The “heavy user” is known to us personally and receives individual attendance centrally as well as at the store.” With its targeted CRM strategy, bauMax has clearly set itself apart from its competitors and now enjoys by far the highest customer satisfaction in Austria in addition to high customer awareness.

According to the jury, the CRM project employed here is an example for the fact that CRM also has its place in very locally organised business structures and that it can support the establishment of a standardised, customer-oriented business strategy.
