Actavis decides for update CRM

CRM for the pharmaceutical industry

Vienna, November 24, 2006 +++ The Icelandic pharmaceutical company Actavis is introducing update.seven as the CRM system for office and field personnel in Austria and Switzerland. This company, which is one of the top five manufacturers of generic drugs worldwide, is implementing a solution which will allow its staff to spend more quality time with their customers – and which will facilitate rapid expansion. Implementation and roll-out should be completed by March 2007.

The solution, called relate@myactavis by the pharmaceutical company, will consolidate customer relations management and Web activities in Salzburg (Austria) and Regensdorf (near Zurich). A total of 40 users, both office and field staff, will be working with the CRM system in the new offices which were built in 2006. All staff dealing with customers will have access to a central database.

For the rapidly expanding company the most important motivation for selecting this software was the speed of implementation and the positive experience the company had with the Austrian CRM experts. An equally important factor for this manufacturer of generic drugs, whose turnover doubles every year, was the high degree of flexibility permitted by the system. In terms of concept and implementation the main focus is on streamlined and efficient processes. Unnecessary overheads are avoided; staff need only concern themselves with the most important inputs and the main functions.

“With update.seven we’re going for the best-of-breed processes”
“For us it was particularly important not to spend too much time and energy on planning detailed functionalities – which is unfortunately often the case when it comes to CRM." With update.seven we’re going for the best-of-breed process – a success-oriented and rapid implementation – and consolidation of the CRM mentality in the hearts and minds of our staff,” according to Stefan Langthaler, head of business systems actavis Austria and Switzerland.

The goal is to establish sustainable customer- and goal-oriented processes right from the start based on the software. Customer services and seamless processing of all associated transactions can all be achieved with the CRM system. The solution will go into live operation with the start of business.
