Ehrmann backs the update.seven CRM solution for the consumer goods industry

Vienna, 23 October 2007 +++The EHRMANN AG in OBERSCHÖNEGG IM ALLGÄU, the German market leader in the fruit yoghurts sector, has chosen the CRM system from update software AG. update is one of the leading suppliers of CRM solutions in Europe, with its head office in Vienna. In the course of the next few months a version of the update.seven CRM solution specially designed for the requirements of the consumer goods industry will be implemented at Ehrmann, firstly in the office and field sales service as well as in Key Account Management. The CRM solution covers the classic operating functions such as visit schedules, report systems, order entry and distribution checks, and improves the organisation of listings and promotions. The implementation partner for the update solution at Ehrmann is the Bad Homburg based SYNERGY CONSULTANTS GmbH, who have many years of experience in the consumer goods sector.

The project is limited to Germany to begin with. However Ehrmann has the option to also introduce the CRM system internationally, particularly in Russia, where EHRMANN AG owns a production plant in Raos, near Moscow. The option of expansion was a significant decision criterion for the update software AG CRM solution, which prevailed in the selection process against numerous competitors. Volker Scholz, who is responsible for IT projects at Ehrmann, is particularly satisfied with the comprehensive functionality: “update convinced us with a solution that covered all the specific requirements of our sector.
