The international refrigeration technology specialist Hauser introduces update.seven for CRM and project management

Approximately 80 employees of Hauser GmbH will use the Web-based update.seven solution

Vienna, October 15, 2008 +++ update software AG, one of the leading European producers of CRM solutions, which is headquartered in Vienna, has acquired Hauser GmbH of Linz, an international manufacturer of refrigeration and freezer equipment for the food industry ( www.hauser.at) as a new customer. At Hauser, the CRM solution update.seven is currently being implemented in a variant that update software AG conceived specially for the specific needs of machine and plant construction. After an extensive evaluation process with a detailed functional specification, the decision in favor of update was made at the beginning of August. "The decision was clearly in favor of update," reports Reinhard Stadlbauer, the Director of IT and Organization at Hauser. "update approached our business model very professionally, and the decisive vote of the sales and planning team was also clear," explains Stadlbauer. "In addition, the international nature of the company spoke for update, and the reference visits were also positive. And the advantage of update.seven is that the system can be customized with reasonable effort."

A particularity of the implementation of update.seven at Hauser is that this manufacturer of refrigerator and freezer equipment wants to use the project management functionalities of the CRM solution in a first phase. From January 2009 on, 60 to 70 employees who form the diverse project teams at Hauser will work with the Web-based variant of update.seven. In a second phase, document management functions will be integrated into the solution; and from phase 3 onwards, also planned for 2009, update.seven will also serve the purposes of sales controlling and marketing at Hauser. "The incorporation of update.seven into our ERP system was also very important," explains Reinhard Stadlbauer, "because we will also process customer order positions in update. Thus, for example, date changes will be transmitted from update to our ERP system." The update.seven webservices module serves as the bidirectional interface. "Basically, we want a single, integrated solution," says Reinhard Stadlbauer. The international nature of the software and the software producer were other important criteria for Hauser GmbH, because this refrigeration specialist is represented with dozens of branch offices across Europe and update.seven will also be used internationally. An English language version of the software will serve as a language variant for the international use of update.seven.
