update software AG receives its largest order in the company’s history

Financial Services Provider OVB will provide support for more than 2.5 million customers throughout Europe using the CRM system from update.

Vienna, 22nd January 2008 +++ update software AG, one of the leading European manufacturers of CRM solutions with its headquarters in Vienna has gained OVB Holding AG, one of the leading European financial sales companies as a customer – the largest project to date in the history of the renowned CRM manufacturer update. Over the course of the next three years, OVB wants to roll out the Financial Services Version of the CRM Suite update.seven throughout Europe and at the same time will centralise, harmonise and standardise its IT landscape.  By 2010, OVB’s employees, of which there are over 9600 throughout Europe, should then be working with the CRM system. The financial services provider OVB services more than 2.5 million customers in 14 European countries via their subsidiaries. A fundamental goal of OVB is to establish European-wide quality standards with the CRM system from update and as well as supporting the classic CRM functions will support the relevant business processes of customer and contact management, data capture, calculation of commission and account allocation under compliance of the legal requirements in the best possible way.

Following a detailed tender process, the decision in favour of update.seven was made in December 2007. OVB will use the web-based version of update.seven in a special Financial Services Version which already illustrates industry specific processes as standard and thus minimises adjustment costs. A key requirement for OVB was a highly-flexible system: It had to be able to illustrate the desired standardisations and be flexible enough to fulfil the country specific requirements of OVB’s subsidiaries.  Other important benefits of update.seven were the foreign language availability and internationality, high system performance and very good scalability.
