update.seven touch Wins Usability Award

Vienna, November 18, 2009 +++ update.seven touch, the CRM solution for the iPhone from the CRM specialist update software, has won the Usability Award. The award was presented for the first time this year at the World Usability Day 09 in Graz. The Viennese update software AG is one of the leading producers of CRM solutions in Europe.

The mobile online application update.seven touch was praised especially for its easy and logical handling: among other things, the evaluated criteria were user control, target-group oriented design, consistency, flexibility, as well as help and documentation.

update.seven touch enables the CRM system update.seven for the iPhone. For example, it is thus possible to call up, input or change customer data while on the road. Searching for an address is no problem either. The user just opens the application using the browser on the iPhone and is presented with a clear, intuitive interface that avoids complicated menu structures. The motto: don't click -- touch! Large icons and new navigation paths spare the user tiresome typing on small keyboards. “We are especially proud of this award because we have put a focus on the usability of our applications from the very beginning,” says Ines Steiner, User Interface Designer at update.

The Usability Award is presented as an individual category in the framework of the User Experience Award. The announcement of the winners and the presentation of the award took place on November 12, 2009 in the course of the official World Usability Day Austria in Graz. Additional awards were presented in the categories of “innovation” and “service engineering.” The latter went to Trotec, the Austrian specialist for laser solutions, which is also using update’s CRM solution.
